Harrison Consulting also offers DSL service to our clients wherever it is available from the telephone company. This type of connection offers transmission rate and capacity of up to 384 bps, versus 53 bpsecond with a traditional telephone line The basic restriction to this service is that the subscriber needs to be located within 18,000 feet of telco facilities. Advantages of this type of connection include faster access to the internet, greater capacity for information transmission, and the separation of voice and data lines, allowing for more flexibility in telecommunications organization. However, while DSL offers superior capabilities, it is also limited by the same characteristics as a basic telephone line, such as the chance of a "bad connection" or background noise on the line that can effect performance.

At Harrison Consulting, we have developed a turnkey solution package that enables your organization to take advantage of the benefits of DSL service, without being vulnerable to its negative aspects. This package includes establishing the connection with the telephone company, a secure LINUX-based communication server, enabling the DSL capability on each workstation within your Local Area Network, and the support of our telecommunications infrastructure.
